“Mindfulness Getting Started”, is a collection of four basic mind training or mindfulness meditation strategies designed for those who want to get started in an uncomplicated meditation practice.
Research shows that when we are paying attention – when our mind is where our body is – we are happier. When we train our mind we develop awareness that leads to being kinder, more patient and therefore more compassionate and caring of ourselves and others. When we’re aware we notice how we feel, we notice what we’re thinking and we notice what we’re doing. So we’re likely to notice when we’re distracted, perhaps be less reactive and angry, and generally be more aware of our thought processes with better concentration and memory.
